Why is asthma linked to autism? Where can I find more information about medical conditions linked to autism such as dry eyes?

Asthma, Allergies, and Eczema Are all connected and have a high co-occurance in autistic people - Why? I mean I guess because of our resistance to mtor protein and lack of synaptical pruning but I'm not a biologist. Google Scholar will sort you our but here is one.

In terms of dry eye - Here's a great reference.

"Among the psychiatric disorders with the highest risk of dry eye were autism and ADHD. Further studies are therefore warranted to investigate the role of psychostimulants such as methylphenidate on dry eye parameters, which is currently unknown. Similarly, the relation between allergy, hay fever, and other atopic disorders could also be partly explained by use of antihistamines. Other explanations could be increased sensitivity of the nerves on the ocular surface by inflammatory mediators or a possible misclassification of allergic conjunctivitis with dry eye."
