Listen now (57 mins) | In this episode, Matt and Angela dive into the legacy of the one and only Anthony Bourdain, unpacking the uniquely ‘autistic-coded’ traits that made him so refreshingly authentic and relatable.
This episode was so sweet and well done. I love Anthony Bourdain. Saw him speak in Seattle and remember feeling like waiting in line for him to sign my book was too invasive. I saw every episode of every show until he passed. I haven’t been able to bring myself to watch any since.
But hearing this episode helped me understand why I may have related to him so much, even though we had nothing in common on the surface. 💙
Hi Katie! Sami here - I'm the Content Manager for The Autistic Culture Podcast! I'm so glad that this episode was able to resonate with you. Anthony Bourdain seems to be beloved in neurodivergent circles, and while he wasn't officially diagnosed (to the knowledge of the public), through his neurodivergent traits and prominence in the media, he had the ability to make all of us feel a little less alone. So glad you enjoyed this episode Katie :)
Just saw this post, this episode... One of my favorite podcasts interviewing a co-host of another favorite podcast, truly makes me giddy!! Can not wait to listen!. I'm a few behind and with my need to go in order, I know what I'll be doing today👍
Hello! Can you tell us which episode of Law and Order SVU he wrote? I can't find anything about it on his IMDB page, or any other obvious places online.
Hi Charlene! Sami here - Content Manager for The Autistic Culture Podcast. From what I have been able to gather, it looks like he was involved in the 20th season - though I'm looking to find further information to corroborate this online.
