Great episode! I'm looking forward to watching that documentary now! I had similar thoughts about Arnold Schwarzenegger being one of us when I watched his 3 part documentary series. I just love documentaries about people.

Hi Charlene! Sami here, I'm the Content Manager for the Autistic Culture Podcast and I totally agree about Arnold potentially being one of us - will have to check out the documentary series!

Oh yay! Ok, so Martha is seriously one of my favorite people. I literally bought her magazines with my babysitting money in high school (part of me is a tiiiiiiiiny bit sad I don't still have them). Because my god the idea that If I Just Do Everything The Right Way It Will All Work Out In The End has always been the secret gooey core of my belief system. And Martha was there, telling us all The Right Way (bonus points because it was a preeeeeeetty way too) and oh, oh she made my orderly little soul happy.

If anyone is interested in another podcast about Martha, the delightful Sarah Marshall has an episode of You're Wrong About all about Martha over here: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/martha-stewart-with-sarah-archer/id1380008439?i=1000567188963

You will not be surprised to know our show is based on the format of You're Wrong About and was created due to my deep and abiding love for Michael Hobbes.

This is The Correct Way To Feel about Mr. Hobbes. He is a joy and a delight, and I revel in everything he creates (you know, in the most low key, normal, totally socially acceptable way where I listen to the podcast and say nice things about his work when people are looking for podcasts and otherwise never ever ever interact with him because I am deeply aware that he is actually a stranger on the internet and I don't wanna be weird...but god he's nifty)!

JOY! DELIGHT! My BEST friend even though he doesn't know it yet! We spend so much time together... I spend so much time with him. He's the meaning in my life. He's the inspiration. He brings healing to my life. He's my inspiration... when you love somebody.... always on my mind.

Okay, yes, stop flapping and get back to work Angela - he is a stranger on the internet!

The moment the bit about “book title first” came up, I cried out “No!” even before the people in the show. One can’t determine the title — or perfect first sentence — of any creative work too early. The work doesn’t know its name or final form yet, so if the maker interrogates it first thing, it may sneak away and never come back. Let the work unfold, and it will tell you its name when it’s ready.

Omg!!! I also am obsessed with how different surfaces feel. My whole life I’ve internally sort of cataloged and ranked as favorite to least favorite the textures in my surroundings. Especially when I’m bored or have to wait on something - time to explore the textures! And when sewing and crocheting the most important factor in the materials I choose is the fabric texture or weight or feel of the yarn. It’s important :)
