I love this! Also I just (finally) watched the March Q&A for paid subscribers--fabulous! Can you tell me what a good way is to pass along an idea/request for an episode topic?
I'm so glad! The next Q&A will likely be in June. This time, I'll invite people to submit their questions/comments ahead of time so Angela and Matt can answer them live (whether or not you can make the recording). So, keep an eye out for an email announcing the Q&A so you can submit your idea/request!
Something I've noticed I do, as do several other autistic family members, is that we don't look AT people when we speak TO them, but we may look at them when we are listening. I think it's because I rely on other sensory input than simply hearing to parse what's being said, but when I am talking I have to go "inside my head" to "translate" my thoughts into speech effectively.
To make sure I understand: Mazing means to share multiple associations or other pieces of information about whatever topic you're talking about and then go back to the main topic?
Basically. Matt is coming out with book soon that thoughtfully defines MANY Autistic terms, including mazing, but, yes. Mazing refers to the many tangents that autistics use in our communication, eventually looping back around to the main subject (usually).

Ah! Same!! My wife and I do this for sure! Especially when talking about something emotional.

Thank you! And about the book, sounds amazing!
