When the Disney+ series came out I watched it, and started listening/reading analysis of the show and quickly became confused about why people were so critical of it. So I did what I usually do and went back as far as I could (David Tennant's Dr) and have been watching through from there and genuinely enjoying the show. I listed to this episode prior to watching through Capaldi's 12th and was concerned about whether I would enjoy those shows, but the 12th doctor quickly became my favorite so far. I really identified with that part of the series, and now I'm continuing to watch Whitaker's 13th.
I have so many thoughts on this episode that I haven't been able to comment. The Doctor has meant so much to me throughout my life. Eccleston's Ninth, my first Doctor held my hand through an ugly divorce. I felt so safe in his care. I was reborn with David Tennant, so many of our favorite Doctor for all the right reasons. Smith's 11 helped me heal, & Capaldi's 12 showed me how to thrive. Whitaker's 13 was very lucky; Lady Doctors are usually judged more harshly & by a higher standard. I am so grateful for our latest Doctor Gatwa, they are Everything we need currently to evolve. Thank you as always for an Excellent episode, but I'll never be able to pick just one. Thank you for the info-dump to remind us of just how Wonderful Doctor Who is.
